The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured a commanding victory in the by-elections held on Sunday, capturing 12 out of the 13 contested seats, according to unofficial results.
These by-elections involved six seats for the National Assembly (NA) and seven for the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, with all NA seats located in Punjab, excluding one in Haripur, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
PML-N's dominance was overshadowed only by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which claimed victory in Muzaffargarh. Despite a peaceful polling process, turnout was relatively low, and PML-N supporters celebrated their triumph by distributing sweets and setting off fireworks.
