In a significant move, West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose is embarking on a two-day visit to scrutinize the state's border situation. Kicking off his tour at the Hakimpur border in North 24 Parganas, the governor aims to garner firsthand insights from security personnel and local residents about the prevailing conditions.

During his stay, he will overnight at Krishna Nagar in Nadia district, where meetings with district authorities are planned to review the administrative readiness in areas vulnerable to disturbances. On the following day, Bose will extend his journey to the border districts of Murshidabad, focusing on interactions with community stakeholders to better understand their ongoing challenges.

The visit gains urgency in light of recent turbulence, as the governor investigates the worrying exodus triggered in specific border pockets due to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) operations. This effort is further highlighted by the unfortunate demise of a Booth Level Officer, attributed to the pressures of a compressed electoral roll revision timeline.
