NPP MLA M Rameshwar Meitei Takes Helm as Leader of Manipur Legislature Party

NPP MLA M Rameshwar Meitei has been appointed leader of the Manipur legislature party. Wangoi MLA Kh Loken Singh is named as chief whip. The appointment follows the recent reorganization of the party's state leadership.

NPP MLA M Rameshwar Meitei has been named as the leader of the legislature party in the Manipur assembly, confirmed an official statement released on Monday.

The National People's Party (NPP) also announced that Wangoi MLA Kh Loken Singh will assume the role of chief whip.

According to a letter sent to Manipur Assembly Speaker T H Satyabrata by NPP president Conrad K Sangma, Meitei was unanimously chosen to lead the legislature party with immediate effect, succeeding Kakching MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan, who transitions to working president. The NPP comprises six members in the 60-member Manipur assembly.
