Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) national spokesperson, Vinod Bansal, strongly criticized Maulana Mahmood Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, on Saturday. Bansal accused Madani of making inflammatory remarks about the Supreme Court and jihad, urging for stringent measures against him.
Bansal, speaking with ANI, highlighted Madani's responsibility in allegedly inciting Muslim youth and promoting discord. 'If Maulana Madani, considered a leader by Muslims, calls Muslims 'jihadi', and questions both non-Muslims and the Supreme Court, it exceeds the bounds of acceptable discourse,' he stated.
The VHP leader further argued that Madani's assertions, made during a meeting in Bhopal, were damaging. Madani's remarks included criticism of judicial verdicts on cases like Babri Masjid and triple talaq, questioning the independence of the judiciary under governmental influence.
