Gaza's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that the Palestinian death toll in the Israel-Hamas war has exceeded 70,000.
The fatalities have climbed even after a ceasefire was implemented on October 10.
Despite the truce, Israel continues airstrikes in reaction to purported truce breaches, with bodies from the initial stages of the conflict still being retrieved.
Operating under the Hamas-administered government, the Health Ministry is run by medical professionals and is considered trustworthy by the global community.
The ministry now reports a total of 70,100 Palestinian deaths.
