Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde issued a stern warning to government officials, urging them to disregard false complaints against his party members. He emphasized that any injustice towards his party workers would be met with serious repercussions.
Shinde's comments were made in light of the Sindhudurg Police filing an FIR against Nilesh Rane, a Shiv Sena MLA, for allegedly trespassing into a BJP supporter's home. Rane claimed that the raid revealed bags of cash intended for voter distribution ahead of civic elections.
Addressing a rally in Satara district, Shinde stressed the importance of not engaging in illegal activities and cautioned against succumbing to external pressures. This development underscores the ongoing tension between Shiv Sena and BJP, particularly after some Sena workers defected to the BJP in Thane district, a Shiv Sena stronghold.
