On Tuesday, the Trinamool Mahila Congress organized a march through central Kolkata, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the Constituent Assembly's inaugural meeting while pledging to safeguard Bengal's rights.

State Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya and cabinet minister Shashi Panja led the procession from the Academy of Fine Arts to Dharmatala, accompanied by KMC councillors and mayor-in-council members.

The demonstration, featuring slogans about Bengal's rights and unity, sought to stress constitutional values and criticize the central government's alleged financial and political encroachments on the state.
