Navjot Kaur Sidhu has become the center of a political storm following her suspension from the Punjab Congress after remarks linking a hefty sum to the chief minister's chair. Despite the party's actions, Sidhu is undeterred, claiming substantial backing from within the party.
Sidhu has also publicly criticized Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa for his legal actions against her. She accused Randhawa, who is responsible for the party's affairs in Rajasthan, of selling party tickets and having associations with smugglers.
