Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to hold critical discussions with leaders from around 30 nations supporting Ukraine's fight for equitable peace terms with Russia. The Coalition of the Willing, an alliance of Ukraine's allies, including leaders from Germany, Britain, and France, will engage with Zelenskyy via video link.
The talks, hastily convened, aim to counter US President Donald Trump's pressures for a rapid resolution, which includes ceding Ukrainian territory. Trump, in strong phone discussions with European leaders, emphasized that Zelenskyy must be realistic about Ukraine's position. However, Trump's peace efforts have yet to yield a breakthrough.
Amid negotiations, Ukraine showcased military prowess with significant drone strikes against Russia, halting airport operations across several regions. As both sides assert strength, European leaders describe the talks as at a 'critical moment', signaling a crucial phase in the peace process.
