A local BJP worker, Munna Bahadur Singh, received a grand welcome upon his release on bail from Mau district jail. Singh had been arrested for allegedly assaulting a Dalit official of the power department, sparking significant attention.

The incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, shows Singh's return to his home district where he was greeted by a convoy of supporters. His arrest stemmed from allegations of beating the Superintending Engineer, Lal Ji Singh, inside his office on August 23, an act which led to his imprisonment.

Throughout the ordeal, Singh received public support from BJP leaders, including former MLA Ram Iqbal Singh and Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Transport's brother, Dharmendra Singh, who defended his actions and lauded the High Court's decision to grant bail.
