NC spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar emphasized that the incident is a deep affront to the sentiments of the Muslim community, asserting that such actions are unacceptable in a civilized society. He further urged for a public apology from Kumar along with the state government, and condemned media figures who attempted to justify the act.

Dar also expressed concerns over a perceived series of events aimed at demeaning Muslims, attributing them to divisive ideologies being propagated across the nation. Highlighting that the issue transcends politics and touches on communal sensitivities, Dar called for unity and respect for personal choices.
