The BJP has accused the Congress of spreading misleading propaganda concerning the trial court's decision in the ongoing National Herald case. BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia highlighted that while the trial persists in the Delhi High Court, the court did not dismiss the case, allowing the Enforcement Directorate to proceed with its investigation.
Bhatia reiterated that Sonia Gandhi remains Accused Number-1 and Rahul Gandhi Accused Number-2, alleging that the Gandhi family exploits deceit and deception. In response to Congress leader Pawan Khera's accusations against the BJP and central agencies, Bhatia demanded an apology, emphasizing the BJP's criticism of the Congress's rhetoric.
The Congress's claims of political vendetta were refuted by Bhatia, who pointed out that the National Herald case stemmed from a private complaint dismissed by both the High Court and the Supreme Court. He further criticized the Congress's inconsistency in its stance towards judicial and electoral bodies, labeling the party as internally 'hollow.'
