Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent comments about Indian democracy, urging him to reflect on his party's historical actions. Rao pointed out that today's India is experiencing genuine democracy, economic freedom, and political liberty, a stark contrast to past Congress governance.

In his statement to ANI, Rao recalled incidents from the past when Rahul Gandhi's grandmother, Indira Gandhi, allegedly disrespected the judiciary, imposed emergency rule, and marginalized constitutional institutions. He argued that such actions exemplified undemocratic practices, unlike the present democratic leadership.

These remarks followed Rahul Gandhi's address at the golden jubilee celebrations of St Thomas English High School, where he highlighted the role of youth in protecting democracy. He warned that the current democratic system is under threat from those in power, emphasizing the need for courageous youth to challenge such attacks.
