In a fervent call to action, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray urged Mumbai's electorate to participate in the city's civic polls, aiming to unseat what he terms the 'brutal, corrupt, and dictatorial' BJP regime.
Joined by his wife Rashmi and son Aaditya, Uddhav cast his vote in Bandra East, emphasizing his message. His cousin, MNS president Raj Thackeray, voting in Dadar, accused the State Election Commission (SEC) of bias, alleging improper use of administrative powers by the ruling parties.
Amidst these allegations, both Thackerays focus their campaign on Marathi pride, aiming to gain control over the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, a civic body overseeing a budget exceeding Rs 74,000 crore, marking their electoral battle as a significant political event.
