The name of the late Moreshwar Save, a former Member of Parliament and influential Shiv Sena leader, was discovered in the voters list during the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation polls on Thursday.
Despite having passed away on July 16, 2015, Save's name showed up in list number 270, serial number 1305, at the Khadkeshwar voting centre. This occurrence has raised questions about the accuracy and updating of voter lists in the region.
Moreshwar Save, who served as a Lok Sabha member from 1989 to 1996, is the father of Atul Save, the current Maharashtra Other Backward Class Minister and BJP leader. Attempts to reach Minister Save for comments were unsuccessful.
