Kashmir witnessed peaceful demonstrations in support of Iran amid rising tensions between the Islamic Republic and Western powers. Demonstrators marched in Shia-majority areas of Srinagar, Pulwama, and Budgam following Friday prayers, chanting slogans against US and Israeli intervention in Iran's affairs.
Despite the global turmoil and reports of a bloody crackdown in Iran, which activists claim has claimed over 2,637 lives, the protests in Kashmir remained nonviolent. Demonstrators carried placards and banners, condemning what they view as unwarranted external pressure on Iran.
In addressing the media in Pulwama, a local Shia leader accused US and Israeli alliances of committing atrocities against Muslims globally. This sentiment was echoed by protesters who declared unity and determination to support fellow Muslims facing persecution.
