Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, D K Shivakumar, has firmly denied any power struggle with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, affirming his continued support. Despite opposition claims of discord, Shivakumar maintained that leadership decisions are the prerogative of the party high command.
In a heated discussion at the Karnataka Assembly, opposition leader R Ashoka highlighted alleged factionalism, noting Shivakumar's cryptic references to 'the right time'. Ashoka claimed insider reports indicated that 56 MLAs back Shivakumar. However, Shivakumar contested these assertions, showcasing united leadership with Siddaramaiah.
Shivakumar's rebuttal came as BJP leader Ashoka predicted a potential collapse of the Congress government due to internal conflicts. Yet, Shivakumar stressed his and Siddaramaiah's commitment to their electoral promises, denying any plans to disrupt the current government dynamic.
