Farewell to NCP Stalwart Ravindra Pagar: A Political Legacy Remembered

Ravindra Pagar, a prominent NCP leader in Maharashtra's Nashik district, passed away at 64. Known for his significant contributions to the party's growth, he had previously worked as a journalist and held various key political positions. His funeral saw attendance from notable dignitaries and local community members.

Ravindra Pagar, a stalwart of Maharashtra's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was laid to rest in his native village of Utrane, Nashik district, on Wednesday. Pagar, aged 64, succumbed to a brief illness late Tuesday night, leaving behind his wife and two children.

The funeral was attended by State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, other dignitaries, and locals who gathered to pay their respects. Pagar, who led the NCP in Nashik since 2012, was instrumental in bolstering the party's influence in the region. Apart from his role as district president, he served as the NCP state general secretary and worked closely with notable figures like late NCP president Ajit Pawar and Bhujbal.

Before his successful political career, Pagar was a journalist, transitioning to politics where he became a district president for the Youth Congress and the National Students Union of India (NSUI). His contributions to both journalism and politics are fondly remembered by those who knew him.
