The US and Russia have agreed to renew high-level military communication following discussions involving American, Russian, and Ukrainian military leaders. This agreement aims to establish consistent dialogue as the parties work towards peace in Ukraine, ending a suspension that began in 2021 before Russia's invasion.

The United States and Russia have taken a significant step towards resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine by agreeing to restart direct military communications. The decision follows a pivotal meeting in Abu Dhabi between key military leaders from the US, Russia, and Ukraine.

The agreement, facilitated by Gen. Alexus Grynkewich of the US European Command, aims to establish a consistent dialogue to support efforts for a lasting peace. Communication links had been suspended since 2021, prior to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
