In a sharp critique, Congress leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh accused the Indian government of rewarding Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for allegedly preventing Rahul Gandhi from speaking in the house. He suggested Birla's representation of India at Bangladesh's PM-elect Tarique Rahman's swearing-in ceremony was a prize for compliance.
Singh urged the Indian government to address the mistreatment of minority Hindus in Bangladesh, as tensions escalate in the region. Meanwhile, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge raised concerns over the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) registration status and transparency in funding, backing claims of electoral bond misuse.
Kharge's pointed questions touched on RSS's unregistered status and financial accountability, calling on the government to investigate. He highlighted the necessity for fiscal clarity, arguing that even religious donations in India are audited, questioning RSS's exemption from similar scrutiny.
