In a fierce critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's handling of inflation, the Congress party launched a scathing attack, branding him as 'Inflation Man' following recent hikes in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices.

The party's statement on social media accused the Modi administration of dealing a financial blow to the Indian populace by increasing the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 60 and commercial ones by Rs 115. Commercial users have witnessed a cumulative rise of Rs 307 in three months, affecting sectors such as hospitality and small businesses.

Amid these increases, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri reassured the public of stable energy supplies, and Indian Oil Corporation refuted rumors of fuel shortages, urging citizens not to panic. The price hikes continue to fuel debate over India's energy strategies and household economic pressures.
