President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that the assailants targeted the energy sector and railway infrastructure, deploying 480 drones and 29 missiles across the nation. He urged international partners for a resolute response to what he described as 'savage strikes against life' on the Telegram app.
Kharkiv regional governor, Oleh Syniehubov, confirmed seven fatalities caused by a Russian ballistic missile hitting a residential building. The city endured further damages to apartments, commercial entities, and power lines, while rescue operations persist at the scene.
