Edappadi K Palaniswami, chief of AIADMK, launched a scathing attack on the current ruling party DMK and its alliance with Congress at a rally in Perunthurai. He accused the Congress of intimidating the DMK to secure 28 seats for the upcoming Assembly polls, asserting that DMK is under Congress's influence.
Highlighting AIADMK's independent stance, Palaniswami emphasized the party's decision to contest the 2024 elections alone. He contrasted this with DMK's alleged reliance on family-led dynasty politics, accusing them of failing to fulfill promises while AIADMK implemented numerous welfare schemes.
Targeting DMK's internal politics, Palaniswami alleged that only members of the Karunanidhi family rise to power within the party, dismissing wider participation. He appealed to voters to support AIADMK's clear and transparent alliance in the forthcoming election, underscoring BJP leader Amit Shah's endorsement of AIADMK as the dominant force in Tamil Nadu politics.
