Antony Urges Party Unity Amidst Sudhakaran's Discontent

In a political development, Congress stalwart A K Antony has called on K Sudhakaran to respect the party's directives, despite difficulties, to defeat the CPI(M)-led LDF in the Kerala assembly elections.

Antony's appeal follows reports of Sudhakaran's dissatisfaction with not being chosen as a candidate for the Kannur constituency, ahead of the April 9 polls.

'He has battled against Marxists at great personal risk,' Antony told reporters, urging Sudhakaran to prevent the LDF from winning a third term by supporting the party's decision. Sudhakaran remains keen on contesting from northern Kerala.
