JK governor announces Rs 20 lakh ex-gratia to slain CRPF family member

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday announced ex gratia cash assistance of Rs 20 lakh to the next of kin of a CRPF trooper from Rajouri district who was killed in the Pulwama terror attack. The announcement was made by Governor Satya Pal Malik.
Head constable Naseer Ahmed was among the 49 CRPF troopers killed in the ghastly suicide attack on a CRPF convoy near Pulwama on Thursday. Ahmad belonged to the 49 Battalion of the CRPF. A Raj Bhavan spokesperson said the Governor prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed sympathy and solidarity with his family members.
