West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday accused AIMIM and ISF of orchestrating unrest in the state amid the elections. She alleged that the Congress and BJP instigated the gherao of judicial officers in Malda.
Addressing an election rally, Banerjee claimed that the mastermind behind the incident was arrested by the state's CID, which, according to her, remains under her administration's control. She criticized the BJP, claiming they had loaned the accused from AIMIM and brought him to West Bengal to cause disruption.
Banerjee also accused the BJP of manipulating voter lists and bringing in outsiders to influence the electoral process. She warned that the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah would negatively impact BJP's vote share. The TMC chief reaffirmed her confidence in winning the election despite recent challenges.
