The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) revealed its slate of 27 candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on Friday. Notable figures include Union Minister L Murugan, set to contest from Avanashi, and former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, who will vie for the Mylapore seat.
BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vanathi Srinivasan has been named as the party's contender from Coimbatore (North). Additionally, Kirthika Shivkumar will run in Modakkurichi, S Vijayadharani in Vilavancode, and Nagesh Kumar from the Thalli constituency.
Polling is to be conducted on April 23 for the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly, with counting to follow on May 4. BJP's Piyush Goyal extolled the strength of the NDA alliance and assured voters of a new era of good governance under their leadership.
