Pope Leo delivered a powerful address on Wednesday, calling on the Cameroonian government to eliminate corruption and stand against the influence of the affluent and powerful. Speaking in the presence of long-serving President Paul Biya, Leo emphasized the need for ethical governance.

During his 10-day African tour, which has brought him to four countries, Pope Leo has been the target of criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump, marking a continuation of their contentious exchanges.

In addition to highlighting governance issues, Leo addressed the ongoing Anglophone conflict in Cameroon, which has claimed thousands of lives. He urged for peace and an end to the violence that has plagued the region.
