Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Friday, led a vibrant roadshow in support of Trinamool Congress candidates ahead of the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections.

The charismatic TMC leader was warmly greeted by crowds along her nearly two-kilometer route from the Steel Market crossing to Bhiringi More in Durgapur.

With blue and white balloons waving in the air, Banerjee received flowers and scarves, and her supporters chanted slogans of 'Didi Didi' and 'Joy Bangla'. Elections for the 294-member assembly will occur on April 23 and April 29, with votes to be counted on May 4.
