Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being no more than former US President Donald Trump's 'puppet'. He claimed that BJP leader Ram Madhav's recent remarks in the United States had revealed the Modi government's dangerous policy choices.

In a video shared on social media platform 'X', Siddaramaiah highlighted Madhav's statement at the Hudson Institute event in Washington, where it was suggested that India ceased oil imports from Iran and Russia and accepted higher tariffs from the US. Siddaramaiah argued that these decisions compromised India's economy and sovereignty.

Ram Madhav later retracted his statement, clarifying that India did not halt its oil imports from Russia and had actively opposed the tariff increase. He apologized for his earlier incorrect comments on the matter.
