West Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress leader Sujit Bose has reported a significant financial upswing in his latest election affidavit. His annual income surged over 90% in five years, now standing at Rs 1.02 crore. The total value of his movable assets has reached Rs 1.92 crore.

Bose, who identifies his occupation as business, saw his income rise from Rs 53.65 lakh in 2019-20 to Rs 1.02 crore in 2024-25. Meanwhile, his wife's earnings have plummeted from Rs 3.39 lakh to just Rs 33,490 in the same period.

Despite the growth in assets, Bose's financial liabilities have also increased, now totaling Rs 1.14 crore. The candidate for the Bidhannagar assembly constituency holds a Madhyamik qualification and is free of any criminal records, as indicated in his nomination papers.
