In the Puducherry Assembly elections, Chief Minister and AINRC leader N Rangasamy is set to retain his seat in the Thattanchavady constituency. As the vote count progresses, Rangasamy has established a strong lead over his rival, E Vinayakam, backed by the TVK and Neyyam Makkal Kazhagam.

After the completion of four counting rounds, Rangasamy has secured 10,024 votes, significantly ahead of Vinayakam, who garnered 5,583 votes. This puts Rangasamy in an unassailable position, cementing his status as a veteran political leader in the region.

Highlighting the significance of the Thattanchavady constituency, this election has drawn substantial attention from political parties. Meanwhile, Congress candidate Ve Vaithilingam finds himself trailing in a distant fourth place. Rangasamy also contested from the Mangalam segment, showcasing his widespread appeal.
