The Bodoland People's Front (BPF), an integral part of the NDA, is poised to win a majority of the 15 Assembly seats within Assam's Bodoland Territorial Region, according to Election Commission data. The BPF is leading in 10 constituencies, reinforcing its position as a key player in the political landscape of the region.

Underlining the competitive atmosphere, the BJP, which is a major NDA partner, has candidates leading in three seats. The United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), a previous dominant force in the Bodoland Territorial Council, trails in one seat. Meanwhile, Congress shows promise, leading in one constituency in BTR.

This electoral battle marks the first since the redrawing of constituencies in 2023. Notable candidates include Biswajit Daimary of the BJP and Charan Boro of the BPF, both leading by substantial margins. The results may redefine political alliances and power dynamics in Assam as the BPF consolidates its influence.
