BJP's Jubilant Strides in West Bengal Election Battle

The BJP workers celebrated across West Bengal as the party led in assembly polls. Supporters hailed leader Suvendu Adhikari, exchanged sweets, and smeared gulal. They refuted TMC's alleged misleading campaign about the Matua community's citizenship rights, highlighting BJP's assurance for Bangladeshi Hindu migrants.

Ecstatic scenes unfolded across West Bengal as jubilant BJP workers celebrated their party's considerable lead in the state assembly polls. Supporters, holding photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, gathered to raise the 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan. They hailed Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari while exchanging sweets and offering them to bystanders.

Similar celebrations occurred in the South 24 Parganas' Kakdwip and North 24 Parganas' Bongaon, where supporters danced to campaign songs and smeared each other with 'aabir'. Anubhab Bairagi, a BJP supporter, addressed alleged misleading campaigns against BJP concerning the citizenship of Matuas, ensuring their citizenship rights.

The BJP led in 193 seats, TMC trailed with 94, and other parties like Aam Janata Unnayan Party, Congress, CPI(M), and AISF contested closely, as per the Election Commission's report.
