In a firm response, India on Tuesday expressed its strong condemnation of an attack on the United Arab Emirates' port city of Fujairah. The assault, which injured three Indian nationals, was labeled as 'unacceptable' by New Delhi.

The incident, involving a drone strike that ignited a fire in a key oil industry area, was attributed by the UAE to Iran. The Indian External Affairs Ministry, represented by spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, has called for an immediate end to hostilities targeting civilians.

Jaiswal emphasized India's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy for peace in West Asia. He also advocated for free maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, urging international laws to be observed and pledging India's readiness to support peaceful resolutions.
