Speaking at a news conference in Armenia, Macron stressed the importance of honoring existing trade agreements. "There are agreements that have been signed and must be respected," he stated, suggesting that if these were challenged, everything would need to be reconsidered.
Macron further emphasized that the European Union is equipped with instruments designed to counter such challenges. "If any country were threatened with tariffs, the European Union has instruments in place that must be activated," he noted, reaffirming the EU's readiness to act if necessary.
