Mamata Banerjee's Stand: A Battle for Democracy
Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut supports Mamata Banerjee's decision not to resign after West Bengal polls, deeming it a protest against central government influence. Allegations claim democratic processes were compromised by central agencies, drawing parallels to Maharashtra's political crisis. The TMC lost to BJP, who won a majority in the assembly.

In a bold stand against what she views as manipulation by the central government, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee refuses to resign following her party's defeat in the assembly elections. This decision has been publicly backed by Shiv Sena MP, Sanjay Raut, among other opposition leaders.
Raut accused the Election Commission and central agencies of acting under the government's influence, undermining the democratic election process. He asserted that Banerjee's move is a justified protest against alleged partisanship and called for opposition unity against such practices.
Despite the BJP securing a landslide victory, Banerjee and her allies argue the results were engineered, comparing the situation to Maharashtra's political upheaval. The TMC leader maintains her stance as a fight for democracy, as she receives support from the INDIA bloc.
