Govindan's victorious election from Taliparamba, a CPI(M) stronghold, stirred controversy earlier. Expelled from CPI(M) for challenging party decisions, Govindan's recent visit with Balakrishnan's family underscores a bond transcending political affiliations.

Welcomed by Balakrishnan's family, the gesture highlighted old friendships. Vinodini, Balakrishnan's widow, reiterated that their doors remain open for all, regardless of political backgrounds, emphasizing respect beyond party boundaries.
