The Deputy Chief Minister, who won the election with a breathtaking margin of 2,18,034 votes, chose to resign to fully commit to her role in the state assembly.
Her resignation was handed to Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan, marking the end of her short but eventful tenure in the Upper House. Pawar's political journey saw her elevated to Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra just after the tragic passing of her husband, Ajit Pawar.
