In a move sparking intense political speculation, AIADMK has relocated its newly elected MLAs to the neighboring territory of Puducherry. The party's spokesperson, Kovai Sathyan, confirmed the development but refrained from disclosing specifics regarding the number of MLAs involved or the motivations behind this sudden transfer.
This maneuver surfaces as TVK steps up efforts to gain majority control in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly. Highlighting the political alliances shaping the assembly's future, Congress, with its five MLAs, has declared support for TVK.
The assembly election results underscored a fragmented verdict: TVK led with 108 seats, closely followed by DMK's 59 and AIADMK's 47. While Congress secured 5, other parties like PMK, IUML, CPI, CPI-M, and VCK managed between 1 to 4 seats, reflecting a diverse political field.
