In a dramatic turn of events following the recent Kerala Assembly elections, LDF leader K T Jaleel has accused IUML activists of engaging in violent political tactics. The controversy erupted after activists paraded a severed goat's head adorned with a caricature of Jaleel's face during a victory procession in Thavanur.
Jaleel, who lost the Thavanur seat to Congress' V S Joy, denounced the act in a strongly-worded Facebook post. He vowed to stand firm against what he termed "head-cutting politics" and assured his supporters that he would not capitulate to such intimidation tactics, regardless of electoral defeat.
Authorities at the Tirur police station have taken swift action, registering a case under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and issuing notices to three individuals. The incident continues to spark discussions about the nature of political discourse and the limits of protest in the region.
