Arunachal Pradesh Taps Global Streaming to Amplify Indigenous Talent

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu is leading a bold initiative to collaborate with global streaming platforms to promote local talent and help youth in the state build sustainable careers in the entertainment industry.
At a recent high-level review meeting with organizers of key state events, Khandu emphasized the need for cultural platforms to evolve beyond annual competitions. "Our vision is to turn events into structured talent pipelines that build careers, not just showcase performances," he stated. The focus is on six flagship state platforms, including Arunachal's Got Talent and Arunachal Idol.
To bolster support, Khandu announced enhancements to the Creative Economy Cell within the Chief Minister's Office, intending to create industry connections and improve career paths for local talent. The state is also negotiating strategic partnerships with digital platforms like Spotify to elevate local musicians onto the global stage.
