Senior IUML leader P M A Salam made it clear on Thursday that the party has not requested the Deputy Chief Minister's position. As the general secretary of IUML's state committee, Salam stated that their stance would be presented only if the UDF discussions prompted it.
Addressing the Chief Ministerial prospects, Salem expressed that any UDF member backed by public support could be considered for the role. Discussions on this matter are set between IUML leaders and Congress observers from Delhi.
Salam also addressed an incident involving K T Jaleel, where a goat head allegedly paraded by IUML activists created a stir. He dismissed connotations of violent politics, humorously suggesting goat head soup as a stress reliever post-defeat.
