Foundation stone for cement plant to be laid in Guna, to boost jobs, development in MP: Scindia

Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday said the foundation stone for a 4 million-tonne-capacity cement plant will be laid in his constituency, Guna, terming the event a historic day for the region and Madhya Pradesh. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is moving forward on the path of industrialisation, he said.

Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday said the foundation stone for a 4 million-tonne-capacity cement plant will be laid in his constituency, Guna, terming the event a ''historic'' day for the region and Madhya Pradesh. The cement plant will create new opportunities and employment potential for the region, Scindia told PTI Videos. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is moving forward on the path of industrialisation, he said. ''Today is a very historic day for Madhya Pradesh and also for Guna. I would like to thank Pranav Adani, the Adani Group, and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, as this plant will bring a major transformation in the region, the benefits of which will reach the people for generations,'' he said. The cement plant will have a capacity of 4 million tonnes, he said. Besides, in the coming days, an Adani Defence facility will also be set up in Shivpuri, which will connect the district with the defence corridor in Uttar Pradesh, he said. ''Madhya Pradesh is progressing on the path of development and growth, and the Gwalior-Chambal region is also advancing in industrialisation and progress,'' he added.
