This break in hostilities, facilitated by US and President Donald Trump, was intended to foster a peace framework after years of conflict. However, minor skirmishes persisted near frontlines even during the quiet.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Ukrainian officials reported substantial damage in various areas, including Kyiv, where drone debris ignited fires. Attacks targeted civilian infrastructure such as kindergartens and energy facilities, resulting in casualties and widespread material damage across different regions.
