Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has extended his congratulations to Himanta Biswa Sarma on being sworn in once more as the Chief Minister of Assam. Sawant attended the swearing-in ceremony, which marked the beginning of Sarma’s second consecutive term and the third BJP-led NDA government in Assam.

In a message following the event, Sawant affirmed that under Sarma's leadership, the state of Assam will continue its path of comprehensive development and prosperity. He emphasized that the legacy of Srimanta Sankardeva and Veer Lachit Borphukan would guide Assam towards progress and growth.

Sawant conveyed confidence that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's support, Sarma would lead a 'double-engine' government driving Assam towards substantial growth, aligned with the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat'. He wished the Assam government a fruitful tenure dedicated to the service of its people.
