Allegations have surfaced concerning a shooting outside the home of Gurpartap Singh Kang, manager of Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh, raising suspicions of gangster involvement from Lawrence Bishnoi's aides. Haryana police have initiated an investigation but have noted the absence of any complaint from Kang's family.
The incident has morphed into a political controversy. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and other AAP leaders accuse the BJP of intimidating Dosanjh, who recently rejected BJP's political invitation. Mann claims this pattern echoes BJP's recent interest in artists entering politics.
Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar rebuffed these claims, pointing out AAP's mismanagement of security for singer Sidhu Moosewala. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema condemned using gangsters as political tools, calling it an exposure of BJP's anti-Punjab stance.
