In a significant development, the European Union's heads of missions engaged in a high-level luncheon meeting with senior leaders from India's Congress party, Rahul Gandhi and Salman Khurshid. The discussions centered around the burgeoning EU-India strategic partnership and the evolving geopolitical landscape both in India and globally, according to EU envoy Herve Delphin.

Delphin, posting on social media platform X, shared images of the event. He highlighted the importance of this engagement with Indian political parties, echoing the sentiments exchanged over the mutually beneficial partnership.

The EU-India relationship has seen substantial advancement, particularly following the conclusion of a landmark free trade agreement. Celebrating this momentum, European leaders participated in India's 77th Republic Day events, illustrating the deepening ties which Delphin termed as 'limitless, ambitious and progressive'.
