Leadership Gathering at Kerala's Power Ceremony

Top Congress leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, will attend the swearing-in of Kerala Chief Minister-designate V D Satheesan. The event in Thiruvananthapuram will occur on May 18, with several other key political figures expected. The Congress-led UDF recently secured a victory in Kerala's assembly elections.

Senior Congress figures, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, are slated to be present at the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of V D Satheesan as Kerala's Chief Minister. The significant political event will take place in Thiruvananthapuram on May 18, according to party sources.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also grace the occasion, though there has been no confirmation about the attendance of Sonia Gandhi. Satheesan aims to include national leadership from other states, extending invites to leaders from Congress-governed regions and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, pending his confirmation.

The swearing-in ceremony is a direct result of the Congress-led UDF's impressive win, capturing 102 out of 140 seats in the recent assembly elections. The event is set to commence at 10 am at the Central Stadium.
