In a significant political development, Congress leader M Veerappa Moily emphasized the importance of following the party high command's decisions, amidst growing speculation about changes in Karnataka's leadership and cabinet reshuffles. Moily clarified that the final decisions would be made after consulting senior state leaders in New Delhi.
Moily reiterated that while the party allows diverse opinions, the time for discussion has ended, and party members must respect the high command's verdict. He expressed his intent to focus on contributing to the party as a Rajya Sabha MP, abstaining from future Lok Sabha elections.
The critical meeting in New Delhi included discussions among top leaders, such as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, concerning Rajya Sabha elections and possible governance changes in Karnataka. However, accusations by the BJP regarding a leadership shift were dismissed as misinformation by Congress MLA BK Hariprasad.
